Steldev is a family-run management consultancy, operating in two sectors:
Director: Catherine Steele [professional name Catherine Gould]
Catherine has 12 years’ practical experience working on humanitarian, resilience building and development projects and programmes. She has worked in both programme management and technical roles, maintaining a focus throughout on promoting and enabling evidence-based programming for improved quality and performance.
This has been for: international NGOs, such as Oxfam GB, Plan International, the British Red Cross and Voluntary Services Overseas (VSO); research organisations, such as the Institute of Development Studies and Overseas Development Institute (ODI); and consultancies, such as Itad; as well as working in consortium.
Catherine has worked at head office, regional and country levels, including living and working in Senegal and Ecuador, with additional field experience in Africa (Mali, Niger, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Togo and Tanzania); Latin America (Bolivia and Guatemala); and Asia (India, Vietnam, Nepal and Bangladesh). She is able to communicate and work in English, Spanish, French and Brazilian Portuguese (to varying degrees) and is always looking for an opportunity to practice her language skills.
Director: Darren Steele
With a background in automotive engineering, as a specialist in powertrain calibration of gasoline, diesel and hybrid systems, Darren has strength in both technical analysis of large data sets and project managing vehicle testing expeditions.
